In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and son (much of which is spent on the lacrosse & soccer fields). Kate is an avid player of all racquet sports, and enjoys yoga and golf.

Ben serves as Vice President of Investments at EvCap, where he is involved in all facets of deal execution, including deal sourcing, analysis & underwriting, project management, equity & debt capitalizations, and new business development. In this role, Ben spearheads the deployment of LP and JV capital for a diverse range of retail acquisitions and developments, specializing in net-leased real estate and overseeing projects from ground-up construction to value-add repositioning.
Before joining EvCap in the spring of 2025, Ben was a member of the development team at Murphy Real Estate. While at MurphyRES, Ben played a key role in the capitalization of approximately $120MM in net lease developments and acquisitions in a 3 year span. His efforts primarily supported MDG’s Net Lease pipeline while also contributing to prospective developments and existing assets across the MDG portfolio. Prior to that, Ben worked on the advisory team at Hilco Real Estate, where he guided retail & restaurant clients in the repositioning and restructuring of their real estate portfolios. In 2 years at HRE, Ben assisted in the renegotiation of over 2,000 individual leases.
A Licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois, Ben holds a BBA in Finance from the Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa, complemented by a Minor in Journalism & Mass Communication. At Tippie, he served as an Executive Board member of the Real Estate Club and remains an active committee member of the University of Iowa Real Estate Alumni Network. Outside the classroom, Ben took on leadership roles in recruitment and philanthropy as part of his extracurricular involvement.
